Around 75 per cent of population and 85 per cent of Vietnamese enterprises have suffered serious impact from natural disasters, such as storms and flooding. Five per cent of enterprises have gone bankrupt. Natural disasters have caused losses of 1.5 per cent of GDP for the country every year.
