In 2008, I was passing through Sydney for a couple of days, and decided to visit the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the city’s major art museum. It was a Wednesday evening, the one day of the week when the museum stayed open late.

This month, for the first time ever, HCMC residents can admire the paintings, mostly portraits which are worth US$30,000 to US$300,000, of Vincent Fantauzzo at Sy Hoang-Y Ngoc Gallery. This exhibition is the beginning of Fantauzzo’s Asian Tour which goes to Bangkok in October, Singapore in November, Mumbai in December and Shanghai in February.
