The Directorate for Roads has submitted a national strategy proposal to ensure road-traffic safety through 2020 to the Ministry of Transport. With a total capital of VND 16 trillion (US$761.9 million), the strategy will aim to reduce the number of accidents and fatalities to eight per 100,000 people by 2020.
