The event aimed for young people starting career as part of the Vietnam Entrepreneur’s Day. It was jointly held by the province’s Youth League and its Young Business Association. On the occasion, the Provincial People’s Committee convened to praise the active contribution to the province’s socio-economic development made by the entrepreneurs. The province now has about 3,800 businesses and over 65,400 households involved in business affairs. The number of businesses greatly increased, generating jobs for more than 118,000 workers. When addressing the ceremony, deputy minister of Defense, General Nguyen Van Duoc emphasized that over the past few years, together with other businesses from around the country, the heads of army enterprises have tried their best to increase their workers’ incomes. He added that they have operated in many spearhead industries to stabilize production, consolidate national defence, and create a diverse consumer market, thus contributing considerably to national economy. On the occasion, 25 businesses and entrepreneurs were awarded certificates of merit by the Vietnam Business Association and 20 others received certificates of merit from the Hai Duong Youth League. The province’s People’s Committee also granted certificates of merit and cups to its 10 best young businesses. Over the past 7 years, the province’s Young Business Association has grown rapidly. The association now has 120 members working in different business sectors. Some of them have become popular in the country, such as the Song Da 12-Cao Cuong Company, the Viet Tien Son Company and the Lillama 69-3 Company.
