VietNamNet Bridge – Nguyen Quoc Dan, 27, who graduated from the HCM City Fine Art University two years ago, seems to be “eccentric” to state that he only pains artworks that nobody could imitate.
Artist Nguyen Quoc Dan.
To confront copied paintings, Dan has created his own style, which he calls non-cubism, which he said that it is contrary to the cubism created by Picasso.
However, with 22 ‘non-cubism’ paintings displayed at his first personal exhibition, Dan only wants to show his mood by strings of colors.
Dan did not use brushes, but he squeezed acrylic from tubes to make “chaotic” strings of colors on canvas.
The exhibition will open at Applied Arts Gallery, HCM City Fine Art University, No. 5 Phan Dang Luu, Binh Thanh District until September 24.
