Nhan Dan – The Saigon Beer – Alcohol – Beverage Corporation (Sabeco) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Saigon – Ninh Thuan Brewery on June 26 in Thanh Hai commune, Van Hai ward, Phan Rang – Thap Cham city, in Ninh Thuan province.
The brewery, covering 10 hectares, will have an annual production capacity of 50 million litres of beer per year.
The VND450 billion (about US$214 million) project will be implemented under the engineering procurement and construction (EPC) contract. The Polytechnic Mechanical, Thermal Electrical And Refrigeration Engineering Limited Company was chosen as its contractor.
The brewery, which is scheduled to be fully operational after 11 months of construction, is expected to create about 200 jobs for local residents and contribute VND350 billion (about US$167 million) per year to Ninh Thuan province’s State budget.
For the occasion, Sabeco also presented VND100 million (about US$48,000) to the Fund for the Poor in the province.
