VGP – Nam Triệu Shipbuilding Industry Corporation or NASICO, an affiliate of the Việt Nam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin) on July 12 signed a contract to build car carrier for Norway’s Albatross Investering AS.

Permanent Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng, the Head of the Steering Committee for restructuring the Vinashin group witnessed the signing ceremony.
The signing of the contract reflected Vinashin’s efforts to gradually surmount the difficult time, noted Deputy PM Hùng while asking the shipbuilder to work with NASICO and relevant agencies on the building process.
The ship will be designed by Finland-based Delta Marine Ltd with a capacity of 6,900 cars on 16 floors.
It measures 200 meters in length, 32 meters in width, with a weight of 14,000 metric tons.
Vinashin has already figured out plan to support NASICO realize the project on schedule, affirmed Mr. Trương Văn Tuyến, the General Director of Vinashin group./.
