According to statistics from the Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia, Vietnam exported US$1.13 billion worth of goods to Indonesia in the period, up 20.1% and imported US$1 billion, down 1.7% from the same period last year.
Indonesia bought more coffee, minerals, telephones, chemicals, electric cable and steel products from Vietnam, while purchasing less rice.
The two countries aim for US$4.6 billion in bilateral trade value this year.
