Vietnam’s 3D animated TV series wins Golden Heart award

Vietnam’s 3D animated TV series “Under the shade of the trees” has won a Golden Heart award at the Yxine Film Festival 2011.

In addition, Doan Tran Anh Tuan was awarded the “Most outstanding film director” title and a Red Heart award.

The film, focused on the theme “Belief” of the festival, is considered one of the most outstanding cartoons with intelligent characters, good scenario, and beautiful music.

A New Heart award went to the short film Tho Ho (Masons) by director Ho Van Hoa and a Green Heart for documentaries on sustainable development to Dat Dai Thuoc Ve Ai (Who owns land) by young director Doan Hong Le. A Fire Heart award for producers went to Cho da di choi (Go Playing with Ice) film by Tran Ngoc Dang. A Crystal Heart award was presented to Ho Nuoc (The Lake) by Ho Duc Hai.

Trang Nghiem received a Best Screenplay award for his Mot Cuoc Tham Van (An Interrogation) and Truong Que Chi won the Best Actress title for her role in this film.

The awards ceremony was held in Ho Chi Minh City on December 12.
