(VOV) - Hungary’s Minister for Natural Resources, Rethelyi Miklos, has conferred the country's outstanding student award on Vietnamese-Hungarian student, Thuroczy Korolina My Lan.
This is the first Hungarian student of Vietnamese origin to win the Hungarian government's annual award for students who have obtained high achievements in sports and academics.
In 2011, My Lan won third prize in the Bolyai Mathemetics Competition and second prize in a national innovation contest for sixth graders.
She also bagged two silver medals at the Hungarian National Championships and a gold medal at a swimming competition in Hungary, as well as a gold medal in the European Championships in Belgium.
