The toy has been confirmed to be able to rotate continuously for 24 hours, 35 minutes and 15 seconds.
The spanning top generates an attractive light when it rotates thanks to a LED lamp system installed inside it.
Tosy Robotics said its engineers had worker very hard to make the toy that can rotate for the longest time with the lowest energy consumption.
The procedure for Guinness’s recognition is demanding, said Le Quoc Hung, chief of the Hanoi Notary Public Office.
Earlier, as requested by Guinness, a confirmation process was carried out with six notary public officers in Hanoi acting as witnesses.
Guinness required that the toy’s rotation must be fully videotaped and continuously watched by at least two independent witnesses.
All materials and video tapes were later sent to Guinness’s office in London for examination and approval.
Ho Vinh Hoang, Tosy Robotics’s General Director said his company planned to market the toy in August, around the Mid-Autumn Festival.
