The fourth International Conference on Vietnamese Studies will be held in Hanoi from November 26-28.
The conference, themed “Vietnam on the Road to Integration and Sustainable Development”, is expected to draw the participation of 800 representatives from diplomatic corps, international organisations and foreign embassies in Vietnam.
The conference will be a forum for scholars of Vietnamese studies all over the world to present their research findings and make academic exchanges with their colleagues.
It will also offer a great opportunity for Vietnamese and international researchers of Vietnamese studies to meet and discuss measures to strengthen research collaboration among scholars in and outside Vietnam.
According to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, a new point of this conference is the chance to sum up Vietnam’s 25-year modernisation process.
The conference will focus on discussing issues of common concern such as social welfare and order, services, cultural and spiritual lives and response to climate change, he said.
