Viet Van, a press photographer from Labour Newspaper, is the only Vietnamese to win two prizes at two international photo contests launched in England.
The photo, “Dieu bi an” (A Mystery), brought Vietnamese photographer the first prize at the international photo contest organized by Charnwood Arts, an independent community arts and media organisation.
Of thousands of photos, the organiser has selected 31 top-notch photos to put on display in a two-month exhibition in England.
In addition, Viet Van also won an Honorable Mention at the Worldwide Photography Gala Awards for his set of seven photos, “Su don doc” (Loneliness). The Awards has drawn the participation of 1,020 sets of photos from photographers in 44 countries.
Moreover, a collection of photos, “Coi nhan gian” (This world), taken by Viet Van also brought him an award presented by the New York-based WIN-Initiative, an independent stock photo agency.
