VGP – Representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia made a consular visit to Doan Thi Huong, a suspect in the death of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea citizen Kim Chol, on March 15.

The representatives gave their regards to Ms. Huong and learned about the humanitarian treatment to her. Ms. Huong said she was in good health and that she had been tricked into engaging in the case.

The same day, the representatives also informed the situation to her family in Nam Dinh province.

As requested by Ms. Huong and her family, the Vietnamese Embassy and the Viet Nam Bar Federation have been coordinating with relevant agencies and the bar association of Malaysia to arrange the assistance in line with Myanmar’s regulations and international practices./.
