Vietnamese girl wins Japan’s special prize

PANO - Phan Khanh Trang, a senior student at the Hue University of Arts, has won the Grand Prize, the highest prize of the second International Furoshiki (gift wrapping) contest held in Japan.

The contest launched by Japanese International Exchange Foundation always draws the participation of numerous students around the world. This year’s competition attracted 217 products designed by students from 9 countries in the world.

Three other Vietnamese students also won two consolation prize - Merit Prize and one Honorary Prize - Honourable Mention.

With the Grand Prize, Phan Khanh Trang was awarded 100,000 Japanese yen.

A ceremony will be held in Hanoi on March 3rd to present the prizes to these winners.
