Sixteen Vietnamese crewmen, who escaped from the blazing fishing vessel Jeong Woo 2 of the Republic of Korea south of New Zealand on Jan. 1, arrived at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on the afternoon of Jan. 27.
They flew from Christchurch, New Zealand and are in good health.
Two injured Vietnamese crewmen remain in hospital in Christchurch. One of them is recovering and expected to leave hospital next week. The other has to stay in hospital.
A representative of the ship’s owner said due to bad weather, it has not been possible to reach the ruined ship to search for the three missing Vietnamese crewmen. Source: VNA
