The congress reported that during the 2008 – 2011 term, the VBA established six specialised departments to assist Vietnamese companies in expanding their business in Russia.

It added that VBA membership had increased from 36 to 47.

Addressing the congress, Ambassador Son praised the VBA’s significant contributions to strengthening the Vietnamese community in Russia as well as the traditional relationship between the two countries.

At the final session, Mr Tran Dang Chung was re-elected as VBA President and the delegates elected a 16-member executive committee.
