Vietnamese Consulate opened in New York

(VOV) - Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on September 25 opened and put into operation a Consulate office in New York.

Present the inauguration ceremony were Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh, Vietnamese ambassador to the US Nguyen Quoc Cuong, Permanent Representative of the Vietnam Mission to the UN in New York Le Hoai Trung, Overseas Vietnamese (OV) representatives in the US and American friends.

This is the third consulate office of its kind set up in the US, after the first two headquartered in San Francisco city, California and Huston city, Texas, to promote business cooperation between Vietnamese and American partners apart from granting, extending and renewing visas for Vietnamese citizens in the northeastern part of the United States.
