Vietnam-RoK cooperation sees fine development

Cooperation between the parliaments of Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) will be further strengthened through important development steps, said National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong while receiving her RoK counterpart Chung Ui-hwa in Hanoi on December 17.

She said the two parliaments have responsibilities for creating a legal corridor and a favourable environment for the development of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries. She expressed her hope that RoK parliamentarians would closely cooperate with Vietnam and provide favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community in their country.

She also proposed the two sides coordinate efforts to promote tourism services.

The Vice Speaker of the RoK parliament, Chung Ui-hwa, expressed his interest in the prospect of cooperation between young people of the two countries, which he said would make important contributions to the long-term development of RoK-Vietnam ties.

He shared the same view as his host on boosting ties between the two legislative bodies at bilateral and multilateral levels.

*** A special music festival will take place at Au Co Theatre, Hanoi on December 19 with the participation of the most outstanding young artists from Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK).

The programme, co-organised by the RoK Cultural Centre in Vietnam and the RoK International Exchange Fund, is to mark one year of a programme named “Art Corner” which is held at 5 pm every Wednesday afternoon at the RoK Cultural Centre.

The upcoming programme will see the participation of Sinawi, a popular RoK five-member band performing a blend of traditional and modern music.
