Hoa, who was deputy head of the Broadcasting and Electronic Information Authority, has a month to get the hang of the job before he takes over on May 1.

Pham Anh Tuan, deputy editor-in-chief, will manage the newspaper until then.

Tuan resigned for “personal reasons” and his resignation has been accepted by the Ministry.

Hoa, who hails from Nghe An Province, has a BA in Philology from Hanoi University.

He was editor-in-chief of Nghe An newspaper before moving to the Broadcasting and Electronic Information Authority last August.
