Foreign Deputy Minister Ho Xuan Son and his Chinese counterpart Cui Tiankai on March 2 opened a hotline between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
In their first talk on the line, the two officials affirmed they will co-ordinate closely to well implement the common perception between high-ranking leaders to strengthen the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic co-operative partnership. They will also deploy negotiating mechanisms on sea-related issues to promptly address arising problems in a joint effort to maintain peace and stability in the East Sea.
