Vietnam-Cambodia armies’ relations boosted

PANO – Lieutenant-General Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Chief-of-the-General-Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army welcomed a visiting delegation of the Royal Cambodian Army’s Air Defence Force, led by General Un Navi, Commander of the Force, at the Defence Ministry’s Headquarters on July 25th.

At the reception, two generals were very pleased to see the considerable development of the two armies’ cooperation in various fields over the past years.

General Un Navi thanked the Vietnamese for their effective and meaningful help for the Cambodians to end the genocide of Pol Pot’s regime and also hoped that the Defence Ministry and the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army continue to support the Royal Cambodian Army in coming time, especially in educating Cambodian officers in Vietnam’s military universities.

For his part, Lt.-General Tuan hoped that in coming time, the two armies will continue co-operation in various fields, making contribution to strengthening the friendship of the two countries.
