Vietnamese boxer Vuong Thi Vy won the golden medal in the girls' 52kg division after gaining the edge over India's Lalfakzuai at the AIBA Youth and Junior World Championships in Antalya, Turkey with participation of 264 boxers from 45 nations and territories worldwide.

Besides, boxers Pham Thi Phuong (in 48kg girl) and Luu Thi Duyen (in 54kg girl) won two silver medals after losing Japanese rival Kasumi Saeki and China Lili Niu, respectively, in the semi-final rounds.
However, with total one gold and two silver medals, the Vietnamese female national boxing team has won their best result so far.
The tournament is also a good opportunity for Vietnamese boxers to prepare for the upcoming London 2012 Olympics.
