APMOPS is a prestigious annual mathematics contest for 6th and 7th grades pupils in the Asia-Pacific region held by the Hwa Chong Academy of Singapore.

Vietnam first hosted the contest in 2009 and Vietnamese students ended up in 11th and 12th place, out of the 7728 participants in the 2010 competiton. Vietnamese students also won a number of platinum, gold, silver and bronze certificates in 2011.

This year, contestants will compete in two rounds. The first qualifying round, which will be conducted in English, will take place at the Singapore International Schools, under the KinderWorld International Education Group in Hanoi, Da Nang, Vung Tau and Binh Duong on April 14th.

The top contestants will then compete with their counterparts from other countries at the final round in Singapore in late May 2012.

The ten top contestants in three regions will also receive special gifts from the contest organisers.
