Thai Son Nam won the right to play in the finals after finishing second at the East and Southeast Asian zone qualifier tournament, which was held in Ho Chi Minh City last March.
The final stage will feature eight teams from across Asia, including the top four teams from the recent qualifying round; the top three teams in last year’s tournament, and a team from the 2012 host, Kuwait.
The Vietnamese team has drawn to play in Group A along with Sanaye Giti Pasand (Iran), YarmoukSC (Kuwait) and Al-Rayyan (Qatar), while Nagoya Oceans (Japan), All Sports FC (Lebanon), GH Bank RBAC (Thailand) and Ardus Tashkent (Uzbekistan) make up Group B.
Thai Son Nam will take on the Iranian representatives, Sanaye Giti Pasand, in their Group A opener on July 1.
