Vietnam strikes gold at Int’l Chemistry Olympiad
Vietnam’s team won a gold medal, two silvers and a bronze at the 44th International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO), held in the U.S. from July 21-30, reports VnExpress.
Pham Dang Huy from Haiphong struck gold while Nguyen Van Phuong and Nguyen Viet Hoang from Hanoi were awarded silver. Tran Thi Mai Huong from Nam Dinh, the only female member of the team, bagged a bronze.
It is Vietnam’s first gold after previous appearances in Tokyo, Japan in 2010 and in Turkey last year.
