Nhan Dan Online – The Vietnam national men's football team stayed at 129th place with 209 points in the latest FIFA rankings for September.
The team was unable to raise their standing because they did not play in any international matches over the last few months.
Thailand, 120th in the world rankings, still retains its top position in Southeast Asia with 274 points, up 28 points over the previous month, while Indonesia slipped eight places from 123 to 131.
Japan remains in 15th place and continues to lead the list in Asia this month, followed by Australia and the Republic of Korea.
Spain defeated Holland to regain the top position in the world rankings. Germany still remains in third while 2011 Copa America champions Uruguay jump up one spot to stand at number four in the world.
The next FIFA rankings will be announced on October 19.
