(CPV) - Disco Robo and SketRobo, two products of TOSY Robotics, a toy company of Vietnam, were given three special prizes by the 109th American International Toy Fair, held February 12th -15th in New York, USA.

In these toy exhibitions, TOSY is the only enterprise of Vietnam participating in the world consumer electronic village.

At the exhibition, TOSY Vietnam showed Disco Robo and SketRobo, which were highly appraised at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January, 2012. Disco Robo is a hi-tech toy combining entertainment and technology. Once the music starts, he can feel the groove and dance along while expressing lively emotions.

Although many similar robots have been seen before, Robo Disco moves more skilfully. TOSY Vietnam expects this product will be available on the world market late this year.

SketRobo is a robot designed to draw. The complete product will have two versions. In the first version, the robot's memory can hold about 200 different pictures and children can choose any picture for robot to draw; in the 2nd version, SketRobo’s eyes will use a camera to capture images of any object or person in front it, then use the image to create life-like portraits.

According TOSY Vietnam, this is not just a toy but also a device that helps children learn to draw and colour. The product will debut in early 2013 worldwide.

Mr. Ho Vinh Hoang, General Director of TOSY, said the Robo Disco was voted as the best product at International Consumer Electronics Show 2012 by Popular Science Magazine. SketRobo was also given two prizes for the best high-tech toys; "Space Age Award" and a prize by Mashable (a blog specialized in reports and reviews in the fields of entertainment, technology, and website development) as one of 12 "products that make you want to be a child.”
