Russian diplomat appreciates ties with Vietnam
Putin’s trip extends Russia’s influences in Mid-East
Meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, both sides exchanged opinions on developing strategic partnership, especially in the fields of nuclear power and military techniques.
Rogizin confirmed that Russia will strengthen its cooperation in military techniques with Vietnam and help with the construction of Ninh Thuan No1 nuclear power plant.
Minh also held talks with the first Vice-Speaker of the State Duma, Ivan Melniko.
Host and guest agreed to boost exchanges between the youth of both nations to educate them about the traditional relationship.
At a meeting with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the two sides discussed ways to boost comprehensive cooperation in all fields.
They also attached key importance to cooperation in energy and agreed to encourage their oil enterprises to increase cooperation in their respective countries and other regions.
They shared views on recent developments in Southeast Asia and the East Sea.
They said all sea-related disputes should be settled on the basis of the 1982 United Nation Convention on the Law of Sea and the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC). They also voiced their support for efforts towards building the Code of Conduct of the parties in the East Sea (COC).
The two diplomats agreed that Vietnam and Russia will support each other at multilateral forums such as the United Nations, Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF).
