This year Vietnam has ten records recognized by the Asian Record Book Center compared to just one last year, the Vietnam Record Book Center (Vietkings) said on Monday, Tuoi Tre reports.

The records include the biggest bronze pagoda on Yen Tu Mountain, the longest lobby with 500 arhat statues and the biggest gold-inlaid bronze statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at Bai Dinh Pagoda in the northern province of Ninh Binh.

The fourth record is the biggest Jesus Christ statue on Tao Phung Mountain in the southern coastal city of Vung Tau. The fifth record belongs to Bui Ngoc Thinh, a blind boy aged 12 who can play most musical instruments from the central province of Khanh Hoa.

The sixth record was presented to Con Dao prison as the largest prison relic on an island.

Thien Duong cave in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is the longest dry cave while the Cu Chi tunnels near HCMC is the longest tunnel system in Asia. The flower statue of the Goddess of Mercy at Linh Phuoc Pagoda in Dalat and the sole version of the 300-page ‘Thi Van Yen Tu’ book also netted titles.
