Vietnam’s top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has scored 57,779 points in total to rank 7th on the latest World Badminton Federation (WBF) ratings.
Minh was followed by Du Pengyu (China), Sho Sasaki (Japan) and Boonsak Ponsana (Thailand).
As scheduled, he will compete in two Super Series tournaments this month – the Denmark Open from October 18-23 and the French Open from October 25-30.
Minh will be seeded seventh at the Denmark Open, which offers awards totalling US$350,000. All players placed before Minh on the world rankings are expected to participate in the tourney.
