(VOV) - The Vietnamese embassy in Bangladesh organized a stand at the 2011 Asian Tourism Fair, which was held in the capital city of Dhaka by the Bangladesh Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism from September 29-October 1.
The stand displayed a wide range of pictures and videos to introduce the country, its people and its cuisine to international friends.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese ambassador Nguyen Van That said economic and trade relations between the two countries have been greatly strengthened in recent years.
Vietnam has made remarkable growth in tourism with the number of visitors increasing every year, he said adding that the country plans to attract more than 6 million international tourists in 2011.
Bangladeshi Minister Gulam Muhamed Quader praised Vietnam’s achievements in developing tourism and hoped that both countries would cooperate further in aviation and tourism.
