PANO - Vietnam has used the Official Development Assistance (ODA) effectively and the European Union (EU) will study Vietnam’s experiences to have them applied globally, Mr. Sean Doyle, Ambassador and Head of the EU Mission in Vietnam, said at a press conference on January 11th in Hanoi.
Vietnam and the EU are now preparing for the first round of talks on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in 2011 after finalising all technical requirements, Mr. Doyle added.
The FTA will help Vietnam get more access to the EU market and tackle taxes and anti- dumping duties on, for example, Vietnam’s shoes exports to this market.
