Vietnam Talent Contest 2011 in Information Technology, Natural Science, and Medicine and Pharmacy was launched on Thursday in HCMC.
The annual contest, organized by VNPT Group, Vietnam Television and Dan Tri online newspaper, has become a popular event for IT lovers and especially students.
“Students are creative and they have the potential for future applications and enterprises. We know there are many products that have been successfully applied in practice and are of very high quality, so the contest will discover some talents as well as helping promote technology in the country,” Duong Anh Duc, vice president of University of Science HCMC, said.
For IT, there are prizes for applicable products and widely used products. For each category, there is a first, second and third prize, worth VND100 million, VND50 million and VND30 million, respectively with consolation prizes worth VND5 million.
