The Vietnam Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) will have historic performances at Carnegie Hall Theatre in New York on October 23rd and at the Symphony Hall in Boston on October 24th.
Vietnamese violist Le Hoai Nam, who is working with the Hong Kong (China) Orchestra will perform violin concerto, “Thang Long” reflecting the typical Oriental culture, composed by musician, Dam Linh.
Besides, American audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy Vietnamese folk songs such as “Trong Com” and Ly Hoai Nam arranged for string musical instrument by Ngo Hoang Quan and enjoy the famous “Adagio for Strings” performed by American musician, Samuel Barber and other famous masterpieces composed by Antonín Dvorák of the Czech Republic and others.
The performance tour is resulted from VNSO’s outstanding achievements in the past 15 years since Vietnam opened its door for artistic performances and exchanges. The VNSO has around 60 concerts in both Vietnam and foreign countries a year.
