By the end of 2011, the Vietnam Rubber Group had 24 projects overseas, including five in Cambodia and nine in Laos, reported the group in a summary meeting on January 7th.
The total investment capital for these projects was nearly VND 20 trillion. So far, these projects are being carried out effectively with more than 70,000 hectares of green plantation.
Over the past year, the group exploited nearly 270,000 tonnes of rubber latex, fulfilling 102 percent of the year’s plan and an average productivity of 1,635 tonnes per hectare. Its total turnover reached more than VND 33.4 trillion, contributing nearly VND 3.6 trillion to the state’s budget.
