(VOV) - A delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) chapter of the Central Highland Kon Tum province is on a working visit to Laos from December 19-25.

On December 22, the Kon Tum delegation was received by President of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) Central Committee Phandouangchit Vongsa.

The LFNC leader spoke highly of the visit, considering it a vivid manifestation of cooperation between the two countries’ local Fatherland Front chapters towards great celebrations in 2012 – the Year of Vietnam-Lao Friendship and Solidarity.

He expressed his wish that front organizations of provinces sharing the borderline, especially those in the Development Triangle would strengthen cooperation in helping border residents understand more about the Vietnam-Laos special relationship and join efforts to build a stable and developed border between the two countries.

Tran Binh Trong, an executive member of the Kon Tum provincial Party Committee briefed the host on the results of cooperative programmes between Kon Tum, Xekong and Attapeu aimed at building a borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.
