Poliburo member and permanent member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Secretariat Truong Tan Sang on September 9 met with a visiting delegation of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance (JVFPA) headed by its President Takebe Tsutomu.
President Takebe affirmed that the alliance’s visit aims to strengthen cooperative relations between the two countries’ legislative bodies as well as between JVFPA and the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Parliamentary Group.
He pledged to work with Vietnam to successfully implement a number of agreements signed between the two nations’ leaders, especially to deploy Japan-Vietnam strategic cooperation projects.
For his part, Sang affirmed Vietnam ’s policies of attaching importance to developing comprehensive relations with Japan .
He spoke highly of effective cooperation between the two legislative bodies as well as the two parliamentary organisations, which, he said, contributed to boosting the two countries’ strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia .
He expressed his hopes that Takebe would continue to act as a bridge to further contribute to the development of friendship and multifaceted relations between the two legislative bodies and two nations./.
