(VOV) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt held a press briefing on April 6 to introduce a strategy for economic development and cooperation between Vietnam and Egypt.
Present at the conference were representatives from Egypt’s television agencies and major newspapers such as Al Ahram, El Gazzett, and diplomats from some other countries.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Pham Sy Tam briefed the participants of the current socio-economic situation in Vietnam as well as strategies for economic development in the 2011-2015 period and for socio-economic development in the 2011-2020 period.
Tam also reviewed the traditional relations and prospects for cooperation between the two countries.
Vietnam and Egypt can share experience in stabilising the macroeconomy, devising solutions to boost economic development based on a modern model, restructuring and self-governing of the national economy. Both sides can also promote bilateral cooperation in industry, investment, construction, agriculture, service and export and import, said the Vietnamese diplomat.
Ambassador Tam expressed his wish that the press conference will help Egyptian researchers and businesspeople get a better understanding of investment and business opportunities in Vietnam.
