Vietnam Airlines started June 30 a new route linking Ho Chi Minh City, Dalat and Danang, making extended holidays more convenient.
The national flag carrier operates 70-seat ATR72 aircraft on the route, flying Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
It takes the plane about 50 minutes to fly from HCM City to Dalat, and 80 minutes from the Central Highlands resort city to Danang on the central coast.

Danang already accommodates international flights from Singapore and China’s Guangzhou. Meanwhile, as planned, Shanghai Airlines would commence a regular scheduled charter service between Shanghai and Danang twice a week. Vietnam Airlines also operates a regular scheduled charter from Hong Kong.
The Danang area has witnessed the opening of two world-class golf facilities in the past 10 months — the Colin Montgomerie-designed Montgomerie Links Vietnam and the Greg Norman-designed Dunes Course at Danang Golf Club. The two golf courses are separated by just a boundary marker.
Dalat is home to Dalat Palace Golf Club, the oldest and most acclaimed course in the country. Dalat Palace Golf Club has secured some awards from publications as prestigious as Golf Digest (USA) and Asian Golf Monthly.
Vietnam Airlines joined SkyTeam on June 10, becoming the first Southeast Asian member carrier of the global airline alliance.
