Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member and head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, has urged the news agencies of Vietnam and Cuba to contribute to the friendship, solidarity, trust and comprehensive co-operation between the two countries.
Speaking to Cuba’s Prensa Latina News Agency, led by its President Luis Enrique Gonzalez Acosta, in Hanoi on June 28, Huynh said Vietnam News Agency and Prensa Latina news agenies should provide information about the development in both countries.
At the same day, the Prensa Latina delegation paid a working visit to Nhan Dan newspaper.
On speaking at the working session, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan newspaper Thinh Giang said the daily plans to open more representative offices in Latin America, with the first one in Cuba. He asked for help from Prensa Latina for the plan to go smoothly.
President Luis Enrique Gonzalez Acosta assured Giang that his news agency will provide all the support it can to assist Nhan Dan newspaper.
During their stay in Vietnam, the Prensa Latina delegation is also scheduled to visit several cultural sites in two central provinces of Quang Nam and Thua Thien-Hue.
