VWU discusses implementing 11th National Women’s Congress resolution

Nhan Dan - The Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) Executive Committee held its second session in Hanoi on July 1 to implement the Resolution of the 11th National Women’s Congress.

The session was chaired by Party Central Committee member and VWU President Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa.

Key tasks were outlined at the session, including legal consultancy for labour export, marriage to foreigners, and safe migration, as well as a writing contest on Vietnamese women role models and a project to support vocational training and creating jobs for women.

For the remainder of 2012, all levels of the VWU will continue responding to the National Target Programme on New Rural Development and implement other important projects to promote the role of women and women's movements, in addition to establishing the Women's Entrepreneurs Association.

The VWU Executive Committee also spent time discussing and giving opinions on the implementation of the 11th National Women’s Congress Resolution, the VWU Executive Committee’s working agenda, and regulations for emulation campaigns and rewards.
