A nationwide week of exhibitions and conferences on information technology (IT) was launched by the Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Group (VNPT) on November 14.
Phan Hoang Duc, VNPT Deputy Director General, said VNPT Week aims to review the development of IT in Vietnam and improve the group’s customer service and social welfare activities.
The highlights of the event are a photo exhibition on information in daily life and a conference on telecommunications and IT services in the health sector, introducing solutions for video conferencing and tele-treatment in a number of hospitals.
VNPT Week will also feature the awards for the Nhan Tai Dat Viet (Vietnamese National Talent) competition honoring young programmers and recognizing their contributions to science and medicine in the country.
The contest attracted 204 products, 65 of which are already being applied in daily life.
