VN wants to boost ties with World Bank

VGP - Vietnam hopes to cooperate with the World Bank (WB) in projects on public investment reform, financial-banking sector, business restructuring and infrastructure, said National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

NA Vice Chairwoman Ngan made the point today in Hanoi while receiving Vice President for East Asia and Pacific region of the WB Pamela Cox.

Ms. Ngan spoke highly of WB’s valuable support to Vietnam over the past time, especially in the improvement of management capacity, technical assistance, mechanism establishment and policy consultancy.

For her part, the WB Vice President hailed Vietnam’s efforts in stablising its macro economy.

The WB will continue helping Vietnam overcome challenges in socio-economic developmen and assisting the South East Asian country in fulfilling the development goals./.
