According to official statistics from the Brazilian Ministry of Industrial Development and Foreign Trade, in the first 8 months, Việt Nam exported US $296.1 million worth of goods to Brazil, up 160%, and imported US $280.5 million worth of products, up 18.8%.

In late second quarter and early third quarter of this year, when facing difficulties caused by Brazil’s regulations on seafood and footwear import, Vietnamese enterprises increased the export of cement, construction steel, pottery and electronic products to the South American country.

In early Q3, the Vietnamese exporters earned US $36.1 million from steel and US $7.1 million from cement to Brazil.
