VGP – A Vietnamese delegation led by Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang attended the 18th APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade (MRT) Meeting on June 4-5 in the western Russian city of Kazan.
During the two-event, the Vietnamese delegation collaborated with the Republic of Korea to build and deploy the APEC’s initiative in raising negotiation skills for APEC economies.
On the sidelines of the forum, Mr. Hoang met with his counterparts from member countries of the Trans-Pacific Partnership to seek ways to speed up negotiations and new membership admission.
He also had bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations of Russia, the US, the RoK, Japan and Canada to discuss on the contents of free trade agreements and the enhancement of trade and industrial linkages with Vietnam.
Concluding the forum, the APEC Ministers responsible for Trade issued a statement, emphasizing their strong commitment to trade and investment liberalization, promotion of economic integration and strengthening food security./.
