VGP- The Viet Nam Manufacturing Expo (VME) 2017 is taking place from April 26 to 28 in Ha Noi, displaying latest technologies of 200 leading brands from 20 countries.

The exhibition focused on metrology and assembly automation so to give the best experience and preparation to step in new era of industry 4.0.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Isara Burintramart, managing director of Thailand’s ReedTradex Company, said Industry 4.0 will be a new breakthrough for the industrial sector.

Industry 4.0 requires Vietnamese human resources to have more skills to undertake complicated production roles, he said.

Another highlights of this year Viet Nam Manufacturing Expo 2017 are two co-located events called “Industrial Components and Subcontracting Viet Nam” or ICSV, where parts makers and potential buyers will be matched, and “Viet Nam Sheet Metal,” where sheet metalworking technologies, knowledge, and ideas will be discovered.

This is the answer to serve the higher demands from the production-oriented investors which represented 70 percent of total FDI in the country.

Thailand Ambassador to Viet Nam Manopchai Vongphakdi spoke highly of the Vietnamese Government’s favourable policies to encourage investment through improved infrastructure and better human resources.

He said that the VME 2017 will be a golden opportunity for manufacturers, engineers and industries to enhance capacity through new technologies, ideals, sources of inspiration and international business networks.

This year, Small and Medium Industrial Institute (SMI) lead Thai companies to enter Viet Nam’s market under Thailand Pavilion. There is another 3 International Pavilions from Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Taiwan to support visitors to source products and services from leading technology’s countries.

The event aims to promote business development and information exchanges in the manufacturing industry.
