HCMC – Hanoi T&T went four points clear at the top of the V-League after beating SHB Danang 2-1 at Hang Day Stadium, while Haiphong fell deeper in the relegation zone with a 13th loss of the season.
Hanoi striker Nguyen Van Quyet easily beat Danang goalkeeper Nguyen Thanh Binh to open the scoring in the 67th minute with a neat header after receiving the ball from Gonzalo Marronkle. Samson Kayode doubled for Hanoi in injury-time.
However, deep into stoppage time midfielder Phan Thanh Hung pulled one back for the visitors from the spot.
Hanoi T&T now sit on 39 points ahead of second-placed SHB Danang who have one game in hand.
Saigon Xuan Thanh are still at third after drawing Thanh Hoa 0-0 at Thong Nhat Stadium in the later game on Sunday, to sit on third on 32 points. Thanh Hoa fall to 10th.
Ailing champions Song Lam Nghe An collected a 13th draw after being held 2-2 by Hoang Anh Gia Lai at Pleiku City on Sunday. Song Lam are still fourth on 28 points, while Hoang Anh are sixth.
Kienlongbank KG lost 4-1 away to XM The Vissai Ninh Binh who climb to seventh, while Kienlongbank stay 12th.
Hanoi FC tied 2-2 with Dong Thap in Cao Lanh City, while Navibank Saigon are fifth after drawing 1-1 with Becamex Binh Duong in Binh Duong Province. Binh Duong are ninth.
Bottom-placed Haiphong are doomed on 11 points after losing 1-0 to Khatoco Khanh Hoa in Nha Trang.

* Dong Tam Long An Tiles moved into second place in the First Division after beating Hanoi 3-0 at Hang Day Stadium on Sunday, while Binh Dinh were held 1-1 by Can Tho in Qui Nho City.
Depite loss, leaders Hanoi are still at top spot as they sit on 38 points from 20 games, five points ahead of second-placed Dong Tam Tiles.
Binh Dinh drop to fourth on 30 points, one point behind Dong Nai, who defeated Quang Nam 2-0 at home. Dong Nai and An Giang now have 31 points each from 20 games, but An Giang are second on goal difference. In other matches, HCMC beat TDC Binh Duong 2-1 at Thong Nhat Stadium, while the game between Quang Ninh Coal and Lam Dong ended 1-1. Tay Ninh earned a 2-1 home victory over Junior Hanoi. Tay Ninh and TDC Binh Duong now have 17 points each but Tay Ninh are still bottom on goal difference.
