VEF announces U.S. graduate fellowships

The Vietnam Education Foundation (VEF) has announced its fellowship program for the academic year 2012.
About 45 fellowships to begin graduate studies in the United States in the fall of 2012 will be granted based on the applicants’ academic performance, intellectual capabilities, English proficiency, and potential for scientific contribution to education and research.
The fellowships would be granted for Ph.D. or Master’s degrees at leading universities in the United States in the major disciplines of sciences (natural, physical, and environmental), mathematics, medicine (such as, public health), and technology (including information technology). Fields include the basic sciences, such as, physics, chemistry, and biology, as well as agricultural science, computer science, and engineering.
There are two types of applications. Process A is for applicants, who have not yet been admitted to a U.S. university graduate program, while Process B is for applicants, who have already received admission to a U.S. university graduate program.
Applications are only available only online. Applications must be submitted from February 10, 2011 to April 11, 2011 for the A category, while B is from February 10, 2012 to March 10, 2012.
