Mary McBride, a country-rock singer from the US, and her band had an exchange with victims of bombs and mines and students of the education centre of bomb and mine prevention in the central province of Quang Tri on April 9.
The band performed their famous songs, including “No One’s Gonna Love You Like Me”, a soundtrack of the Academy-award winning film “Brokeback Mountain”.
They also surprised audiences with a Vietnamese southern folk song titled “Ly chieu chieu” in the Vietnamese language.
The country singers took the occasion to explore activities to prevent bombs and mines and programmes to support the victims.
